Starter Characters

There are 4 starters: Red Knight, Orange Knight, Blue Knight and also Green Knight, you need to unlock the rest of the characters, and there are a lot:

Castle Crashers Unlock Characters – Normal Mode

You can unlock 20 characters in Normal Mode

  • Skeleton: Complete the game with Red Knight to unlock
  • Bear: Complete the game with Skeleton to unlock
  • Fire Demon: Complete the game with Orange Knight to unlock
  • Ninja: Complete the game with Fire Demon to unlock
  • Industrialist: Complete the game with Blue Knight to unlock
  • Fencer: Complete the game with Industrialist to unlock
  • Royal Guard: Complete the game with Green Knight to unlock
  • Saracen: Complete the game with Royal Guard to unlock
  • Gray Knight: Defeat the Barbarian Boss to unlock
  • Stove Face: Complete the game with Gray Knight to unlock
  • Barbarian: Complete the King’s Arena level to unlock
  • Killer Beekeeper: Complete the game with Barbarian to unlock
  • Thief: Complete the Thief Arena level to unlock
  • Snakey: Complete the game with Thief to unlock
  • Peasant: Complete the Peasant Arena level to unlock

Complete the game with any character to unlock the Insane Mode, once there, you can unlock 4 characters in Insane Mode

  • King: Complete the cave stage in insane mode to unlock
  • Openface Grey Knight: Beat Catfish in insane mode to unlock
  • Necromancer: Beat Industrial Castle in insane mode to unlock
  • Cult Minion: Complete the Ice Castle in insane mode to unlock

Castle Crashers Unlock Characters – DLC

And there are also 3 DLC characters. Buy you have to buy the DLCs to unlock these characters:

  • Hatty: Buy the game BattleBlock Theater to unlock
  • Blacksmith: Buy the DLC – Castle Crashers – Blacksmith pack to unlock
